PUNTA ARENAS—THE END OF THE WORLD (IN CHILE)!

We arrived at Punta Arenas as the sun rose over the Pacific!

We docked and took a bus to the center of town.

We passed statutes,

a beautiful park,

and stopped for a cup of coffee!

There was a little craft market set up at the edge of the park,

where Patte picked out her birthday hat!  Just so you all know, PATTE’S BIRTHDAY IS ON THE 15th!  (She wanted EVERYONE to know that! 🤣)  And, although she did not buy the hat, she felt like she looked really good with the fur encircling her face! 🤣🤣🤣

John stopped for an empanada (he’s been craving one for like FOREVER) and, goodness, did it ever smell good in there!

We searched for just the right restaurant for lunch!  We found restaurant row,

and decided on La Luna for lunch!  (The decision was easy—EVERYONE coming out said the food was AMAZING!

OMGoodness, it was the perfect choice!  Such a FUN restaurant and the food was just that—AMAZING!  (The crab cake salad—oh my!)

Patte and I went to use the little girls’ room and this is what was painted on the walls of the stalls!  Oh, what a memory!

We meandered the streets of Punta Arenas until it was time…

…to board the bus and go back to the ship.  John did laundry, we went to tomorrow’s Port Talk presentation and it was time for dinner!  YUM!  Yes, it was another good one!

The evening show was the Viking Band and the Viking Vocalists performing songs from ABBA!  It was THE BEST SHOW EVER, and took place while we were sailing through the Straits of Magellan!

BUENAS NOCHES, everyone!  (From the end of the world!)
