Oh, what a beautiful morning to be at sea! Oh, wait a minute, I should say, “Oh what a beautiful morning to be docked in Valparaiso, Chile!”
Patte gave the infinity pool a two thumbs up! Nice and warm and EMPTY!!!
We had lunch by the pool,
and John braved the pool! He said it wasn’t our beloved Pinebrook’s pool warm temperature, but it was nice!
The rest of us opted to sit and soak up the sunshine! It was AMAZING!
We all met up for a cocktail before dinner in “The Living Room” where we met a nice couple from Toronto, Eric and his wife, Alex. Alex started telling us about the seals that they saw ON OUR DOCK! Alex could tell I was chomping at the bit to see them, and led me by the hand out the door of the dining room, and guess what? Two of them were still there!!!! (My day was complete!) I could have watched them all day long plus many more, darn it!
Our second dinner aboard the Viking Jupiter was superb and the wine of the day was fabulous! We embarked at 6:00PM and immediately felt motion!
It seemed like we were out there in the middle of the Pacific Ocean entirely alone, when John pulled up this map. Apparently the business cruising is booming!
Mike and Patte went to their room after dinner (they are older, ya know) and John and I went up to the Explorer Bar and witnessed a beautiful sunset!
At 9:30 there was a Welcome Party in Star Lounge, where we were entertained by Jess and Jason!
After their performance, all of the team leads were introduced,
and we got the opportunity to meet our distinguished Captain. He explained his technique for keeping track of the port side and the starboard side of the ship!
The Viking Vocalists performed and that was that!
We literally rocked and rolled all night long! (And NOT to the music!) BUENAS NOCHES, everyone!
