OFFICIALLY AT SEA!

When room service delivered coffee to our room this morning (at 8:00AM), John had just gotten up and I was still in bed!  It actually took some time last night to get to sleep with all the rocking and rolling and creaking going on!

The four of us went to a Future Travel Presentation, Ocean and River after breakfast that outlined all the river and ocean cruises offered by Viking!  John’s wheels were spinning!

After lunch we met up at the main pool.  The top was up and the pool area was nice and cozy!  (As we sail south, the temps are dropping!)  Mike was the first to brave the water and immediately said, “It’s not Pinebrook warm!”  But he mustered his courage and got in!

This was as close as Patte got and I didn’t even give it a moment’s thought!

It wasn’t long before John joined in the fun!  Don’t they look peaceful?

Believe me, it was ANYTHING but PEACEFUL in that pool!

The boys enjoyed the heat of the hot tub while Patte and I enjoyed the warmth of the sun and read! Ahhh!

Next up was the kitchen tour!

It’s always interesting to see the behind-the-scene activity of the kitchens aboard these ships!  To say they have it down to a science is an understatement!

We attended tomorrow’s port talk!  It should be an interesting day at Puerto Montt, Chile!

Included in all Viking Ocean cruises was access to the LivNordic Spa. We toured it before dinner and agreed we WILL enjoy it SOON!  A thermal pool, cold plunge, hot tub, steam room and snow grotto are included!  (Michael, you should be here!)

Yes, it was another dinner sensation!

After dinner we sat poolside to watch the movie, “Lost City of Z.”  Once again they served popcorn, but who in the world can eat popcorn after a dinner like that?

Another full day aboard the Viking Jupiter!  BUENAS NOCHES, everyone!
